of major corporations, buy-outs, mergers and d/b/a aliases. Many
companies are diversifying their holdings with companies targeting
various aspects of online advertising and ecommerce under one corporate
umbrella. It seems to make good business sense to know with whom
exactly you are doing business. Depending upon the nature of your
relationship with a company, their various other holdings may be
viewed as either complimentary to the services they are providing
for you or competition to your own business.
With the flurry of mergers and buyouts, it can be difficult to
keep track of who is really behind a company. Then there are the
numerous name changes and companies who operate under several different
business identities.
